The original Aster alpinus is a circumpolar mountain species, growing on rocky, mostly limestone substrates. Cultivar 'White' is 15 to 30 cm tall, with fully double, white flower heads blooming in May to June.
Use in perennial low flower beds and rock gardens in sunny locations.
Habitat circles GR1-2 - edge of deciduous forest with dry to fresh soil, FR1-2 - open areas with dry to fresh soil.
